Smoke Bluffs Park Vermicomposting Toilet Project

Smoke-Bluffs-2A vermicomposting toilet project at one of our communities busiest parks! This project will provide much improved outback toilet facilitates for Smoke Bluffs Park, while being a case study for the provincial-wide use of vermicomposting toilets throughout British Columbian Provincial Parks. The new toilet is being built on an elevated, wheelchair accessible platform.

Vermicomposting toilets have been used widely in Europe, found to be odourless and environmentally friendly to the natural habitat. More on vermicomposting toilets from Toilet Tech Solutions:

Project estimated completion date is end of June 2014.

Funds granted by Mountain Equipment Co-op,
